How To Build a Personal Computer Part 5. (The Building)

In this guide I will be giving you some pointers and what I found to be some of the most important advice in terms of building a PC. Regardless of what the purpose of your chosen machine is, you will eventually have to get your hands dirty and build it!

This can be fairly simple depending on your level on confidence. Regardless, first step would be to prepare your computer case by removing all packaging and making sure it is open and ready for installing. What you insert first into the case is completely up to your preference, but my advice would be to place the Power Supply Unit first and firmly screw it into its designated position, (Usually at the very bottom or top of the computer case.) However, do NOT plug it in yet. Next insert the motherboard and also screw it into place. Once you have successfully achieved this, you may remove the CPU out of its protective casing and apply thermal paste to it and gently but firmly place it on the motherboard. Now from experience this is the hard part over. All you have to do now is insert the Graphics card into the motherboard, followed by the RAM, SSD and Hard Drive. The most tedious part takes place now, this being plugging everything necessary into the power supply unit. I would recommend using zip ties to keep cables organized and out of the way. Now it’s time to plug everything into the back of your computer i.e., mouse, headset, keyboard, and monitor. (Make sure to plug the monitor into the GPU to insure you get the best performance.) Once you are confident that you’ve followed this guide properly and thoroughly you may power up your device and enjoy the masterpiece which you, personally made.

I hope you found this short guide useful and are satisfied with the result!
