Software Review

Software Review   The two main piece of software that I used for this project were blogger.com and PCPartPicker.com. Both of these proved incredibly useful in terms of putting everything together and having an idea of what is required and what looks good.   Blogger is the website itself, which I used to create and publish my blogs. I found the website to be super simple and straight forward in terms of user experience, creating and uploading work. The main factor that made me chose blogger over other software was its availability and simplicity. Signup only took seconds and figuring out how to post/upload minutes. The friendly user interface alongside its super responsive servers and functionality made it the perfect and only choice for me.   I found is very easy to edit out and update mistakes made on pervious posts such as when I accidentally wrongly numbered one of my posts. There was zero delay in between me pressing edit and update. Blogger made blog...

How To Build a Personal Computer Part 5. (The Building)

How To Build a Personal Computer Part 5. (The Building)   In this guide I will be giving you some pointers and what I found to be some of the most important advice in terms of building a PC. Regardless of what the purpose of your chosen machine is, you will eventually have to get your hands dirty and build it! This can be fairly simple depending on your level on confidence. Regardless, first step would be to prepare your computer case by removing all packaging and making sure it is open and ready for installing. What you insert first into the case is completely up to your preference, but my advice would be to place the Power Supply Unit first and firmly screw it into its designated position, (Usually at the very bottom or top of the computer case.) However, do NOT plug it in yet. Next insert the motherboard and also screw it into place. Once you have successfully achieved this, you may remove the CPU out of its protective casing and apply thermal paste to it and gent...

How To Build a Computer Part 3. (The Personal Computer) In today’s guide, I will be doing my best to pass on my knowledge of purchasing components for your first personal Computer! The price range that I’ll be aiming around today will be $600! We will be using the PcPartPicker.com website as a guideline in order to make sure that we remain within our chosen budget of $600. For this build we won’t be needing a graphics card, but a CPU that is suitable for use as both a CPU and a GPU also known as an APU or accelerated processing unit. These are mainly sold and manufactured by AMD. I’ve decided to go with the Ryzen 5 5600G APU, as it’s an APU it can be used both as a CPU and GPU. It comes in at the price of $109 on Amazon! For the motherboard I went with the ASRock B550M Pro4 Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard, this motherboard has everything required as well as being compatible with out APU at the same price of $109! For our RAM I’ve found two sticks of 8GB DDR4, 3600, Vulcan Z ram to ...

How To Build a Computer Part 2. (Defining the purpose)   In this guide we will be trying to distinguish what specific tasks you’d like your PC to be able to preform without a hitch! If you’d like to skip this part, I’ll leave a link to a Gaming PC and an Everyday PC, at the bottom of this blog post! Starting off with a very important point, the price of your PC will vary drastically depending on its purpose and intended use. For example, if you’d like a Gaming PC, I would recommend being prepared to pay well over $1000, in order to have the most pleasant and reliable experience in today’s day and age. An everyday computer build would usually set you back less that $1000, in my opinion the range should be similar to what you’d be paying, for a flagship mobile phone. (Somewhere between $400-$1000.) An everyday computer should be able to handle simple software such as Microsoft Word and Google! As the price of Graphics cards continues to skyrocket due to their high dema...
